  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup flour all-purpose or gluten-free
  • 1 cup milk can use plant-based milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika can substitute with sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce like Frank's RedHot
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, making sure to coat it well.
  • Roll the battered florets in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  • Place the coated cauliflower on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  • In a bowl, mix the hot sauce with melted butter.
  • Remove the cauliflower from the oven and toss them in the hot sauce mixture.
  • Return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Adjust hot sauce level to suit your taste. These bites can be made ahead of time and reheated. Leftovers can be enjoyed in wraps or bowls.
